Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from a multiethnic background. Jacqueline Fernandez's mom Kim and father Elroy were both born in Malaysia. Jacqueline has two older brothers and a younger sister. It was because of the civil war in Sri Lanka that the family decided to move to Bahrain. Following her education in Bahrain and after that, she received the Scholarship to pursue a degree at the University of Sydney, where she completed a bachelor's master's degree of Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. An avid lover of different cultures and languages, she enrolled in Berlitz Language School, where she learned Spanish as well as enhancing her French as well as Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March of 2006, and later competed as Miss Universe 2006 also. After winning Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she took on the world of TV and hosted a program on Sri Lanka's business named Lanka Business Report. Padukone had the honor of being a daughter and badminton world champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew up in Bangalore however, she came from Copenhagen. As a teenager she competed in badminton at national level championships but left her profession in sports in order to be a fashion model. Padukone is from Mangalorean background Her mother language is Konkani. Padukone Village is located in Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District in Karnataka in India. Prakash Padukone's father was an international badminton champion who now retired. Her mom is a traveling agent.
